Extra Activities:

We talked about the letter "B", the sound  it makes and other words that begin with "B"

Five Little Birdies
(put five fingers up in the air, as verse is said the other hand bends down each finger)
Five little birdies flying around our door
The blue one flew away and then there were four
Four little birdies sitting in a tree
The yellow one flew away and then there were three
The little birdies didn't know what to do
So the red one flew away and then there were two

Come back Jill (move other hand to the front)

Birds (tune: "Here we go round the Mulberry Bush")
This is the way we scratch for worms, scratch for worms, scratch for worms
This is the way we scratch for worms so early in the morning
This is the way we peck our food, peck our food, peck our food
This is the way we peck our food so early in the morning
This is the way we sit on our nests, sit on our nests, sit on our nests
This is the way we sit on our nests so early in the morning
This is the way we flap our wings, flap our wings, flap our wings
This is the way we flap our wings so early in the morning
