Five Little Monkeys
Five little monkeys jumping on the bed
one fell off and bumped it's head
momma called the doctor and the doctor said
"no more monkeys jumping on the bed!"

repeat verses until only one monkey is jumping on the bed, then sing
one little monkey jumping on the bed
she fell off and bumped her head
momma called the doctor, and the doctor said
"put those monkeys back to bed!"

We danced to:

For our craft we made a dinosaur puppet (like the one pictured here):

We covered the dinosaur with small pieces of tissue paper and taped it to a colored craft stick to make it a puppet.

Extra activities:

creep them, creep them, creep them, creep them, right up to your chin
open wide your little mouth....
but do not let them in!

Five Enormous Dinosaurs
(we talked about what enormous means, then did this fingerplay)
Five enormous dinosaurs,
letting out a roar
one danced away,
then there were four!
Twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, twist, ROAR!
Four enormous dinosaurs,
crashing down a tree
one skipped away,
then there were three!
skip, skip, skip, skip, skip, skip, ROAR!
Three enormous dinosaurs,
eating tiger stew
one twirled away,
then there were two!
twirl, twirl, twirl, twirl, twirl, twirl, ROAR!
Two enormous dinosaurs,
resting in the sun
one shook away,
and then there was one!
shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, ROAR!
One enormous dinosaur,
left all alone
he wiggled away,
and then there were none!

We talked about what we wear when it gets cold. Hats, mittens, boots, coats, etc and where they are worn on our bodies.

Five Little Snowflakes
Five little snowflakes flying by my door
one blew away and then there were four
Four little snowflakes falling down on me
one blew away and then there were three
Three little snowflakes falling down on you
one blew away and then there were two
Two little snowflakes having lots of fun
one blew away and then there was one
One little snowflake sitting in the sun
it melted away and then there was none

Winter Pokey
You put your right mitten in
you take your right mitten out
you put your right mitten in
and you shake it all about
you do the winter pokey (shiver)
and turn yourself around
That's what it's all about!

Repeat with other verses:
