Once Upon a Mastodon - All About Prehistoric Mammals by Bonnie Worth*
American Mastodon by Carol K. Lindeen
We had a special guest (Mike) from Mastodon State Historic Site who did a presentation of items from the Ice Age. We got to view the skulls of a baby mastodon, a giant sloth and a saber-toothed cat. Mike talked about the animals and people that lived during that time period.
For our craft we made a mastodon like this:
