October 12, 2016 Story Time - Autumn/Fall
If you missed this weeks story time here is what we did:
*marks the books we read
Peppa's Windy Fall Day by Barbara Winthrop*
Tractor Mac, Harvest Time by Billy Steers
Fall Leaves by Loretta Holland
My Autumn Book by Wong Herbert Yee*
What Happens to Leaves in Fall? by Rebecca Felix
Pick a Circle, Gather Squares: a Fall Harvest of Shapes by Felicia Sanzari Chernesky
I See Fall by Charles Ghigna*
For our craft we decorated a small paper bag, then glued leaf shapes on it. We then went outside on a hunt for fall items to put in our bags, like; acorns, walnuts, leaves, flower buds, etc
Extra activities
Fall
Autumn winds begin to blow (wave hands in the air)
colored leaves fall fast & slow (wiggle fingers)
twirling, whirling all around (spin around)
until at last they touch the ground (sit back down)
