December 23, 2015 Story Time - Santa
If you missed this weeks story time here is what we did:
*marks the books we read
Here Comes Santa Cat by Deborah Underwood*
Santa Duck and His Merry Helpers by David Milgrim
Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin*
Where, Oh Where, Is Santa Claus? by Lisa Wheeler
I'm not Santa! by Jonathan Allen*
Click, Clack, Ho! Ho! Ho! by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin*
Santa Claus and the Three Bears by Maria Modugno
For our craft we glued a picture of santa's beard to a craft stick and covered it with cotton balls.
We also made a santa lunch bag puppet like the one found here:

Five Little Christmas Cookies
(hold up five fingers then take one away as directed by poem)
5 little Christmas cookies on a plate by the door
one was eaten and then there were four
4 little Christmas cookies gazing up at me

3 little Christmas cookies enough for me and you
one was eaten and then there were two
2 little Christmas cookies sitting in the sun
one was eaten and then there was one
1 little Christmas cookie better grab it fast
as you can see the others surely didn't last!

Old St. Nicholas had a tree
ho, ho, ho, ho, ho
and on that tree he had some horns
ho, ho, ho, ho, ho

here a toot, there a toot
everywhere a toot, toot
continue.....
