Extra activities:
Five Little Puppies
Five little puppies were playing in the sun (hold up hand, fingers extended)
this one saw a rabbit, and he began to run (bend down one finger)
this one saw a butterfly, and he began to race (bend down 2nd finger)
this one saw a cat, and he began to chase (bend down 3rd finger)
this one tried to catch his tail, and he went round and round (bend down 4th finger)
this one was so quiet, he never made a sound (bend down thumb)
I Have a Dog
I have dog and his name is Rags
he eats so much that his tummy sags
his ears flop-flop
and his tail wig-wags
and when he walks he goes zig-zag
he goes flip-flop, wig-wag, zig-zag (repeat three times)
(hands at either side of head for flip-flop, hips wiggle for wig-wag, arms cross for zig-zag)
I love Rags and he loves me
my dog Rags he loves to play
he rolls around in the mud all day (roll hands)
I whistle but he won't obey (shake head no)
he always runs the other way

While reading Spider Web by Tracy Kompelien we read and talked about the facts listed in the book then answered some true or false questions about spiders
Itsy Bitsy Spider
The itsy bitsy spider went up the waterspout
down came the rain and washed the spider out
out came the sun and dried up all the rain
and the itst bitsy spider went up the spout again
Ten Little Heroes
One little, two little, three little heroes
four little, five little, six little heroes
seven little, eight little, nine little heroes
ten little heroes ready to fly!
(then count back down to one)

For our craft we decorated a paper cat with a mask and cape then taped it to a craft stick. We also decorated a paper horse shoe for good luck.

We focused on our listening skills and did this action song:
Let's Move!
Hold your right hand high
hold your left hand high
shake your fingers
and clap, clap, clap
Stretch your right arm out
stretch your left arm out
take a little hop
and turn once about
Bend and touch your toes
then stretch up to the sky
like a little bird
spread your wings and fly
On your right foot, hop
on your left foot, hop
jump with both feet
then it's time...to...STOP!
